Senior MCM Doctrine and Tactics Analyst (Navy MIW/MIREM)
Typical Responsibilities:
- Support and design test and data collection plans for exercises.
- Serve as observer aboard exercise units to coordinate observation and data collection efforts to support mine-countermeasure system and doctrine development.
- Develop exercise messages and reports.
- Support reconstruction of exercise events.
- Support doctrine / Tactics, Techniques and Procedures (TTP) validation and product modifications.
- Analyzes exercise results in accordance with the Execution Plan.
- Support new concept tactical development and emerging system analysis.
Location: Onsite at Surface and Mine Warfighting Development Center (SMWDC) in San Diego, CA. Work location is within a sensitive compartmented information facility (SCIF).
Travel Requirements: Up to 20% travel is anticipated to include CONUS and OCONUS locations.
Typical Physical Activity: Primarily desk/computer work in an office environment. Periodic visits to waterfront/shipboard environments. May involve: repetitive motion, traversing shipboard environments (e.g., tight spaces, ladders, hatches), speaking or vision.
Typical Pay Range: The anticipated pay range for this position in the identified location(s) is $100,000 - $128,000/year. Actual compensation offered will be based upon individual factors including education, qualifications, and experience.
Existing SECRET Security Clearance Required: This position requires an existing active or interim Secret security clearance prior to hire. Only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance; therefore, only current U.S. citizens will be considered for this position.
- A candidate with especially strong, relevant experience but no current clearance may be considered, but a new clearance must be obtained prior to hire.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- High School diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Fifteen (15) years of U.S. Navy experience in surface, aviation, unmanned, and/or expeditionary MCM operations and warfare tasks. Experience should include:
- Four (4) years experience in managing projects or programs.
- Excellent analytical problem-solving skills
- Capability of preparing reports and correspondence that are technically correct.
- Proficient with common productivity software, including the Microsoft Office suite.
- Excellent communication skills.

- Staff level assignments are highly desirable.
